Another school teacher is alleged to have crossed that line between proper social media etiquette and being a responsible educator of young children. Meet Carly McKinney, a 23 year old math teacher at Overland High School in Aurora Colorado who is now on paid leave while officials investigate her matter. Her twitter account known as “Crunkbear” where her bio page lists her as saying “BearCrunker than most”. “Stay sexy. Stay high. Stay drunk. Stay free. Stay trippy.” along with various pictures that are over the top and some without a top for that matter.
McKinney tweeted photos of herself drinking, stripping, smoking questionable substances, and posing semi-nude for her followers. What really got her into trouble were also some of the tweets like “Naked. Wet. Stoned." and "Watching a drug bust go down in the parking lot. It's funny cuz I have weed in my car in the staff parking lot." In another tweet, Carly referred to a student as "jailbait
Although marijuana is now legal in Colorado it isn’t on school grounds. McKinney claimed via Twitter that she was grading papers while high, she has been placed on paid administrative leave while an investigation probes whether the teacher used or possessed drugs on school property.
