Teacher Lauren Patterson was murdered this week with the teacher’s body being tossed carelessly into a desert in Qatar after she was killed; Middle East officials now claim to have the two suspects responsible for this “loving woman’s” death in custody. UPI affirms this Thursday, Oct. 17, that the beloved UK teacher, daughter, and girlfriend Lauren Patterson went missing earlier this month after being seen with two men one night outside a local bar. Her family and friends now want justice for her death.
A teacher Lauren Patterson may have her killers in custody thanks to investigative work from police, as a pair of suspects have been arrested by Qatar officials and are currently being held without bail for the murder of the British primary school teacher. The 24-year-old Patterson was described as a “loving woman” by her friends and family on Facebook.
Although some initial reports conflicted about where Patterson’s body was found, it has been confirmed that her body was tossed into the Qatar desert sometime after her murder. The dumped teacher’s two possible killers are currently being viewed as prime suspects in the British teacher’s case.
The exact cause of Patterson's death, as well as the reasoning behind it, are still unknown and have not been identified by law enforcement in Qatar.
According to a statement on Qatar’s Ministry of Interior website, public law officials noted: “The police has arrested the suspects of a European woman's murder. The case has been referred to Public Prosecution to complete further judicial procedures applicable in this regard.”
On various social media sites, the family and friends of teacher Lauren Patterson are grieving her death, and hope that justice may be found. Her mother, Alison, is saying that her daughter was a lovely woman that was having a wonderful time working with young students as a primary school teacher in Qatar at Newton British School.
“Lauren was a wonderful young woman having the time of her life. There have been so many people that have put to us how highly they thought of Lauren and loved her,” she said.
It was Lauren’s boyfriend who helped make the search for his missing girlfriend a public campaign. He wrote on Facebook after it was discovered she was killed and her body had been found in a nearby desert:
“I can’t believe that it had to end this way Lauren, I really don’t. I was so happy that I had finally found someone that could change my life so much, and in such a positive way too... Rest In Peace babe ... I will always look up at the sky cause you always were the brightest star and always will be.”
“I love you so much babe, I really do and I can’t get over the fact that you were taken away so cruelly, it really breaks my heart to think about it. I know you’re watching over us, wherever you are, and I know that I will meet you again one day.”
