Teachers are held in high regard by parents as well as by many of the students that they teach and provide trusted guidance for. Yet, according to Fox News, Jennifer Forshey, a Florida teacher abandoned those noble laudatory goals and instead inhumanely alleged forced a 10-year-old student to clean a urinal with his bare hands. The stench of the urine clogged urinal was still on his hands as he went to the office to request soap.
No parent or student would have conceived that accused teacher Forshey, who teaches at the Broward Community Charter School West in Coral Springs, could treat a youngster with such intentional criminal behavior.
The police report suggests that the teacher decided to punish the young student for misbehavior when he is alleged to have clogged the urinal earlier in February. Instead of taking the errant student to the principal’s office the Florida teacher used her own form of punishment to seemingly teach the 10-year-old a lesson.
Of course the parents of the young boy are understandably alarmed by the treatment. Jenay Roberts, the boy’s mom, stressed, “I just think it’s something no kid should go through. And I wouldn’t want him to ever go through anything like that again,” according to Fox News.
The teacher was arrested and booked on a charge of battery of a child by exposure to urine. In addition the parents of the student have hired an attorney which could lead to civil litigation against the teacher and or the school itself.
