However, your child will need an apology first in order to forgive. So, what does your child do if they do not receive an apology? Well you can teach your child to say, "I forgive you." right when an incident happens.
When you teach your child to say , " I forgive you." You are giving your child the opportunity to quickly let go of the problem and move on. The problem will not grow or get anymore attention than needed. Your child learns that dwelling on a problem should not take too much of their energy. They learn that the problem should not be a priority in their life.
