The Teach for Friendship Foundation -- TFF -- was created in 2002 in response to requests from Chinese educational institutions for native English speakers to help their students’ to practice their English with native English speakers and to build friendship between China and the United States.
The program is based in Tucson, Arizona, TFF is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.
Here is a slideshow from the 2012 fall classes and their teachers.
In 2013, TFF's principal program will continue to be at Huazhong University of Science & Technology-- HUST -- one of China's leading universities. HUST is located in the important city of Wuhan, on the Yangtze River, approximately 400 miles west of Shanghai. You can find more information about HUST at English.hust.edu.cn. There will be a two- to three-week teaching session at HUST in July 2013.
At this time there is no September program.
In recent years, TFF has been asked to provide English teachers for longer-term assignments at other universities in China. If you are interested in these types of assignments--usually six months to one year--please use the form in our Contact Us section to inquire about open assignments.
