Turner Classic Movies turns the spotlight on classic film noir from the Hammer studio with a block of four films on Monday, June 16, 2014. The British studio is primarily known today for its Gothic horrors starring Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee, but the company also turned out features from other genres, including hard-boiled crime dramas like the noir pictures that first became popular in the United States in the early 1940s. All four of the films included in the TCM lineup were directed by Terence Fisher, who also helmed iconic Hammer classics like "The Curse of Frankenstein" (1957), "Horror of Dracula" (1958), and "The Hound of the Baskervilles" (1959). Here is the schedule for TCM's Hammer noir showcase.

At 8 pm Eastern, TCM kicks off the programming with "Blackout" (1954), starring Dane Clark, Belinda Lee, and Betty Ann Davies. At 9:45 pm, George Brent, Diana Dors, and Marguerite Chapman star in "Man Bait" (1952). Paul Henreid and Lizabeth Scott headline in "Stolen Face" (1952) at 11:15 pm. At 12:45 am, the noir block wraps up with "The Unholy Four" (1954), starring Paulette Goddard, William Sylvester, and Patrick Holt.

Visit the official TCM website for more information about each of the films being shown. Other highlights for the month of June include Rock Hudson as the Star of the Month on Thursday nights, pirate pictures on the Friday Night Spotlight series, and Essentials Jr. programming with host Bill Hader.
