TCM giving actor Alec Guinness a 100th birthday tribute on Apr. 2nd

On Apr. 2 TCM is honoring the 100th birthday of Alec Guinness. Guinness is an actor who made a huge impact in cinema from his roles in the crime comedy "The Lavender Hill Mob" to even in the "Star Wars" Franchise. He's been in plenty of movies, and it's great that TCM is honoring the late actor's 100th birthday.

This event will start with the movie "Paris with Love" at 6:15 am CST. That leads to 10 other movies that will air that day. It's interesting to note that this is the day before when TCM is going to be honoring actress Doris Day's 90th birthday.

Alec Guinness was born on Apr. 2 in 1914 and he passed away in 2000. He was and still is known as an esteemed actor. His legacy lives on with his movies, because his performances were wonderful.

Some of his movies that will be airing are "Kind Hearts and Coronets," "The Ladykillers," "Lawrence of Arabia," "The Spacegoat," "The Swan," "All at Sea," "The Comedians," and several other movies.

So sent your DVRs movie fans, because you won't wan to miss the performances that Alec Guinness did, especially "Kind Hearts and Coronets" where he played eight different characters!

Once again this tribute all starts this coming up Wednesday at 6:15 am on TCM.
