TCM airing a Lee Marvin film marathon on the last day of January (Photos)

TCM will be airing four of Lee Marvin's movies. Marvin is known for a lot of movies such as, "The Dirty Dozen," "Cat Ballou," "The Killers," Brando's hit, "The Wild One," and a personal favorite as the villain, "The Big Heat." He was born in 1924 and died in 1987 at the age of 63 from a heart-attack.

The first film that will air is the Western Comedy, "Cat Ballou," which will be airing at 7 pm central time. TCM will be airing his westerns and his crime thrillers, by the way one crime thriller in particular is his film, "Point Blank" which is the last movie that will be airing, the time of that movie is 1:45 a.m. "Point Blank" was a modern day film noir. For those who have seen the 1999 film with Mel Gibson called, "Payback," that was the remake. "Point Blank," when it first was released, it was a larger success in Europe rather than in America.

"Cat Ballou," and "The Dirty Dozen," (airs at 11 pm) were probably some of his most popular movies. "Monte Walsh," which airs at 9 pm is Marvin's lesser known Westerns since it was filmed between two mega-hits, "The Wild Bunch," and "McCabe and Mrs. Miller." Anyway really all of his films are a treat to watch, so don't miss this marathon!
