The founder of TCASCD Inc., Asha Tarry has her heart in the campaign to heighten awareness on Human Trafficking after a personal experience enlightened her. “I used to be a woman that would visit gentlemen’s clubs. One night, I saw a young woman with the body and face of an innocent youth. I was instantly affected. It changed my life and as a result, I committed to not participating in that lifestyle any longer. I changed my behaviors so that through my actions, I would be actively uplifting girls and women.”
Ms. Tarry has stayed true to that commitment ever since. She started The Collective Advocates as a grass roots outreach organization with a group of advocates and has helped to transform it into an official nonprofit that focuses on raising awareness on social issues that affect at-risk people ages 14-65. In February of 2013, the nonprofit officially launched and the company has been going strong and growing steadily ever since.
