Taylor Swift “Voice” rumors have led to something substantial. Swift will be an adviser on “The Voice” for season 7 of the show. She is now one of several big names that will be joining the NBC program as it kicks off another season. According to a report from Yahoo! on Saturday (Aug. 30), she is going to be filling the role that Chris Martin of Coldplay had during season 6. In this role, she will advise all the contestants on performances and song choices.
No official statement has come from the singer or from the network, but there is still a lot of time before the season premiere. The first episode of season 7 will take place on Sept. 22 on NBC. A source close to the production made a statement, though, saying that, “Taylor was an absolute pleasure to work with. She had great feedback for all the contestants. She made for an amazing mentor." She won’t be the only new advisor joining the cast, as each team will also have one.
The team advisers are set to be Little Big Town for Blake Shelton, Stevie Nicks for Adam Levine, Gavin Rossdale for Gwen Stefani, and Alicia Keys for Pharrell Williams. Stefani and Pharrell are new judges this season, stepping into the big shoes in the process. They are big names in their own right, but this latest news from “The Voice” is the biggest yet this summer. Taylor Swift becoming an adviser on the show is going to bring in a whole new demographic of viewers just to see how she does.
