Taylor Swift sang her brand new song during the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night. A song aimed at Kanye West and the drama from last years show.
Taylor Swift, 20, took over the stage on Sunday night. She sat in a chair with her guitar and sang her untitled song to Kanye West, complete with clips from last years interrupted acceptance speech.
In the song she sings lyrics such as "You have new Septembers. Everyone one of us has messed up, too. It's all right, just wait and see. Your string of lights is still bright to me. You're still an innocent."
When Taylor's song ended the audience rewarded her with a standing ovation. The "Mine" singer walked off of the darkened stage barefoot.
Kanye West concluded the awards show with his own song, about toasting men who were jerks. While Kanye was mentioned various times throughout the telecast, he was only seen in the final minutes while he sang his previously unheard song.
Taylor Swift's new cd, "Speak Now," is due out on October 25. According to People Magazine, her untitled Kanye song will be featured on the album, along with her latest song, "Mine."
"Taylor Swift's song was beautiful," tweeted one Cleveland resident. "Kanye and Taylor Swift need to get over it. It wasn't that big of a deal. The whole thing was way over played," tweeted another.

She was expected to address it, and she was well aware that yes, even a year later, it would still be the talk of the evening. So she had two choices: Make it known she forgives and moves ahead, or bash him. She made the right decision.
She acknowledged something that people are still talking about A YEAR LATER. I don't see anything childish or unclassy about it, but I would say some of the lyrics are a question mark. An innocent? I don't think so.
