Taylor Swift undeniably was the star of last nights CMA awards. During dress rehearsal before the show even started, she was awarded backstage by Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn. The duo who appeared for their final performance awarded Swift with the CMA “International Artist Achievement Award”. “This is beautiful !” said Swift, “Thank you so much, this is an awesome way to start the day!”
The teen singer/song writer has been on a long winning streak gaining a second win in 2 years at Country Music’s BMI awards this week. Swift earned her position last night with her edgy performance, and multiple awards.

The highlight of the evening was when she was presented the “Entertainer of the Year award” by country super couple Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. At age 19 Swift is the youngest performer to ever win the CMA “Entertainer of the year” award. Swift is also the first female to win since Shania Twain won back in 1999.
Swift was overcome with emotion, having already received awards for “Album of the Year”, “Female Vocalist”, and “Music Video of the Year” as she took the stage again to receive “Entertainer of the Year”.
Swift : “ I will never forget this moment, because in this moment everything I have ever wanted has happened to me”. She was quick to thank all the members of her band, and bringing them up on stage. She thanked her fans, and Performers who let her “open up for their shows” this past year.
Swift: “ It feels like just yesterday I was knocking on doors in Nashville, going, "Hey, will you listen to my demo?" But then again, I feel so lucky to know you guys and to talk to you in pressrooms and to have been an opening act for every single person I was nominated against in the entertainer of the year category. I'm just very appreciative right now”.
