Taylor Swift’s ex-boyfriend, Conor Kennedy, was arrested and taken off in hand cuffs along with his father, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. According to UPI.com, on Thursday, Feb. 14, 2012, the father and son were arrested during a protest against the Keystone XL pipeline on Wednesday.
Conor Kennedy rose to fame in the tabloids for dating Taylor Swift while he was still a senior in high school. Swift, who was older than Conor, was captured in pictures last summer at the Cape Cod Kennedy Compound holding hands with her young suitor. She even purchased a home next door to the Kennedy’s Hyannis home while the two were dating, indicating the seriousness of the relationship at the time.
Once Conor went back to his high school, the two couldn’t find the time to spend together, as Conor’s studies kept him grounded at school. This relationship ended a few months into the school year.
Conor and his father were among 48 people taken into custody by police after tying themselves to the White House fence. The group used plastic zip-ties around their wrists to secure themselves to the White House fence in Lafayette Square. When asked to move, the group refused, resulting in police taking them into custody.
