Connor Kennedy, one of Taylor Swifts recent ex boyfriends, was allegedly arrested today (Feb. 13) outside the White House for protesting a proposed pipeline according to a news report.
Connor Kennedy was protesting the Keystone XL oil pipeline at the White House, along with his father, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and about 45 other people. Most members of the group handcuffed their hands to the gate surrounding the White House.
Members of the group, including Connor Kennedy and Robert F. Kennedy, refusing to leave were arrested by Capitol Police.
The goal of the protest today at the White House was to not only protest the proposed Keystone XL pipeline, but to raise awareness on climate change. President Obama is expected to make a decision on the proposed pipeline in the near future.
Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., is an environmental attorney who is concerned about global climate change.
The Kennedy's were released after approximately five hours and fined $100 for failure to obey the order to disband and leave the premises.
Connor Kennedy and Taylor Swift were an item this past summer and dated for several months before splitting.
