The Tennessean pointed out the many good deeds that Swift made happen in 2013. Nashville Symphony President and CEO Alan D. Valentine said “We are enormously grateful to Taylor Swift for her generosity, which will have an immediate and hugely meaningful impact on the Nashville Symphony’s mission of making great music and music education accessible to everyone in the Middle Tennessee community.”
Swift discussed Nashville and what the city means to her by saying "I would not be the same kind of person without Nashville." Swift continued by adding "It has shaped me into who I am. I think everybody feels that. We don't have an ocean or mountains. People come here because of the feeling they get. It pulls you in and turns you into who you're going to be."
