Taylor Swift was one of a handful honored on Tuesday night for the 59th annual BMI Country Awards. The 19-year-old singer and songwriter seemed shocked to receive a wall size plaque for her efforts over the past year and gave a wide smile when she accepted it at the ceremony in Nashville, Tennessee.
The country music entertainer can’t be too surprised at the honor as the BMI Country Awards shared a partial list of honorees including Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban several weeks ago. Coming together to support country music and recognize those songs and albums over the past year that brought music to the fans ears, it was an evening of celebration and mingling among the celebrities.
Taylor Swift isn’t finished winning awards for the week. Expected to take home several trophies on Wednesday night at the Country Music Awards, the entertainer knows her fans have her back in making her music popular on the charts. One of the most popular entertainers in the country scene, some critics are predicting a sweep on Wednesday night.
