Taylor Swift News : Swift named Billboard Magazines 2011 "Woman of the Year"

Country Pop star Taylor Swift has been named the 2011 Billboard Magazines "Woman of the Year." Taylor will officially receive her latest honor at Billboard Magazine's "Women in Music" event taking place at Capitale in New York on December 2, 2011 according to Gossip Cop.

Swift will join past big named recipients including Beyonce and Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas,but at age 21-years-old will be the youngest woman to date to ever receive the prestigious award selling more albums in 2011 than any other artist.
 
Billboard News.com reported Billboard's editorial Director Bill Werde said ."Taylor has shown the power of good songwriting with music that has transcended genres, and we're thrilled to recognize all of her successes over the past year by honoring her with the "Billboard Woman of the Year Award,"

 "At the young age of 21, Taylor has already made a major impact on music and has been an incredible role model for aspiring singers/songwriters and young women everywhere.  I look forward to watching her career continue to flourish in the years to come, added Werde.
 
 
Taylor is currently nominated for six -2011 CMA Awards including "Entertainer of the Year."
