Billboard said it will sponsor an event to honor Swift this December.
Swift burst on the music scene in 2008 with her self-titled debut album.
According to statistics compiled by Wikipedia, her first album has sold more than 5.5 million copies worldwide.
In 2008, she released “Fearless,” which has sold about 8.7 million copies worldwide.
Last year, she released “Speak now,” which has sold an estimated 5.5 million copies worldwide.
She was won 89 major music awards, including nine Grammy Awards.
