Taylor Swift has become one of the most popular and successful young singer-songwriters of the era. News that she was devastated by the guy she lost her virginity to has therefore been surprising in view of how many young men would go to the moon for a date with her. Swift is rumored to have lost her virginity to Jake Gyllenhaal, who left her devastated when he didn't show up at her 21st birthday party, reported Radar Online on Feb. 17, 2014.
Stories have surfaced that Swift was heartbroken after she gave her virginity to Gyllenhaal and he was than a no show at her 21st birthday party, leaving her locked in a bathroom crying the entire night, Radar Online claims in an exclusive report. An insider says Swift, who is now 24, had been “saving herself for marriage.” However, she was so much in love with 33-year-old Gyllenhaal, that after three months of dating she gave into his desires to go all the way. Sources say she thought she was going to marry Gyllenhaal.
Swift was repaid for giving her virginity to Gyllenhaal with his no show at her 21st birthday party, PerezHilton.com has also reported. When Gyllenhaal didn't arrive at her party Swift at first thought maybe he was planning some sort of surprise. But there was no surprise and she was said to be in shock.
PerezHilton.com goes on to report Swift turned a bad experience into something good by using her feelings from this experience to inspire every word of her hit song RED. This song references this "event" as "The Moment I Knew." They lyrics were apparently all about her birthday party and Gyllenhaal not showing up.
This shows Swift had the emotional balance needed to survive a difficult experience that a lot of young women go through. Perhaps by sharing her feelings about this Swift can help other young women recover and become stronger, as she did, from such a hurtful experience and move on in life.
