Taylor Swift, Harry Styles break up (Video)

Maybe Taylor Swift's next song should be a cover of "Another one bites the dust."

According to the Daily Mail on Jan. 7, the 23-year-old singer has ended her two-month-long relationship with Harry Styles, the One Direction singer.

The couple reportedly had an angry argument during their New Year's vacation to the British Virgin Islands. Instead of a long holiday, Swift cut the vacation short and returned to the United States after just three days on Jan. 4.

In November, the 18-year-old Styles gushed to "Seventeen Magazine" about Swift, calling her a "lovely girl."

"Honestly, she couldn't be a sweeter person. She's a great girl and she's extremely talented. [She]'s one of those people you meet [who's] genuinely a nice person. Some people you meet and they are not as nice as you make them out to be, but she's one of those people who's really just amazing," he said.

Swift even met Styles' parents in December after One Direction's show at Madison Square Garden in New York.

A source confirmed to the Daily Mail that they split up, saying, "They were on holiday and had an almighty row. They are two young stars at the top of their game so who knows what will happen in the future."

Life & Style also confirmed the rumor, with a source who said, "They are both really busy and never in one place for long. Harry's really upset about the split and is really sensitive about it.

"Loads of his friends told him to be careful and that it was never going to last, and he feels a little foolish now that it's fallen apart so quickly."

However, it was Swift who looked sad when caught on camera after the breakup, alone on a boat as she left the island of Virgin Gorda.

Styles, on the other hand, was seen partying for the next three days, at one point with Richard Branson, who owned a nearby private island.

According to Business Insider, Styles went to Branson's for a day to "let off some steam."

Photos by fans show the British pop star in a hot tub with Branson and posing happily with female fans.

Who wants to bet Swift's next big hit song will reference Styles?
