Taylor Swift gets restraining order against crazy fan

Timothy Sweet, a so-called fan of Taylor Swift has been stalking her since 2011, but Swift has been awarded a permanent restraining order against Sweet today (Mar. 26) according to Cosmopolitan Magazine.

Sweet's latest harassment contained a threat to the singer and her family, raising eyebrows, The crazed man claims he is married to the country music superstar and said, "Dearest Taylor, I'll kill any man who gets in the way of our marriage." Sweet has also been sending harassing messages to Swift's email, sending tweets, and letters.

Another of the messages (compliments of Digitalspy) that was sent to Swift stated, "My wife, Taylor Swift (Sweet) and I live in Beverly Hills. I am in love with her. In conclusion, we treat each other with dignity and respect. I will carry a gun to protect her the rest of my life."

Swift filed for a restraining order in early March (2014) and was given a temporary restraining order against Sweet. Today, the restraining order was made permanent. Sweet is now banned from being within a 100 yard radius of Swift and her immediate family members for three years.

Swift has had problems with people trying to break into her New England home in Rhode Island since she purchased the mansion. Just this past week, one of her fans was successful despite her security guards.
