A Taylor Swift fan dies just days after she got an amazing phone call from Swift herself! On Dec. 27, E! News reported that 8-year-old Delaney "Laney" Ann Brown passed away on Christmas Day after a long battle with leukemia. Laney was spending her life checking things off of her "bucket list" and was able to speak with Swift before she passed away.
"Laney was so nervous to talk to her because she is such a 'famous celebrity.' I was actually worried that when Taylor Facetimed her that she would be too scared to talk but Taylor was fabulous!! She really engaged Laney in conversation (sic)," someone close to Laney wrote on Facebook.
The Taylor Swift fan who died made headline news last week when another bucket list was fulfilled: Thousands of Christmas carolers gathered outside of Laney's house to sing for her -- and she listened with joy from her bed with a big smile on her face. Laney fought a brave fight and got to experience many special things in her life but sadly her life was cut short.
"Our little angel on earth earned her pink glittery angel wings in heaven. She took her last breath at home in her bed at 3:10 surrounded by all her family and friends. I miss her so much already," read a post on Laney's Facebook page after she died.
The Taylor Swift fan died with a lot of love in her heart and her story has touched lives around the world.
