Why so much eyeshadow, something Hollywood Life called bronze in color and dramatic when noting the heavy make-up was a change from her normally demure Covergirl look? Perhaps she needed to camouflage tired eyes swollen from crying. After all, she did just go through a painful celebrity split with boyfriend Harry Styles, the One Direction boy band star who is said to have left the all-American beauty distressed and lonely.
According to tabloid magazines news sources like MTV and the Huffington Post, the pop star recently broke up with new boyfriend Harry Styles. According to the sources, she was left alone, broken-hearted, and slightly embarrassed by the relationship after the split -- one the paparazzi photographers from around the world had been extensively documenting while the two young lovers were just starting to get chummy.
While many celeb gossip sources were choosing to write about her excessive show of cleavage in her chest baring full-length white evening gown that was cut all the way down to her solar plexis, fans of the teen scene celebrity could tell something was seriously wrong with the singer.
Bottom line, although she was smiling, she simply did not look her usual bouncy self. She actually seemed to be play acting -- something the dramatic dark brown eye shadow she wore really emphasized.
But then again, the smokey eye look could simply be a celebrity make-up trick she picked up from Hollywood culture. Perhaps she simply had a "Jerseylicious" moment backstage while she was getting ready and actually is totally happy being rid of her baby-faced beau. Until she releases her next sure-to-be hit song about their breakup, no one will know for sure, really.
