Music star Taylor Swift proved why she is so beloved by traveling to Columbus, OH to attend a fan’s bridal shower on Sunday.

Yahoo reported that Swift, 24, was formally invited to Gena Gabrielle’s celebration because Gabrielle had met her idol in 2007. They had met up at other meet-and-greets since then. However, Gabrielle was still surprised that Swift showed up at her shower.

"I had no idea it was going to happen," Gabrielle said. "[Taylor] said she planned it with her management and her mom. She said it was all worth it because my face was 'priceless.'"

Swift came bearing gifts for the bride-to-be. These included a KitchenAid stand mixer, Le Creuset pots and even homemade chocolate chip cookies. She also attended the shower because she previously told Gabrielle that she would be unable to attend her wedding in May.

“Apparently they told Taylor she didn't have time and she said no I'm going to ohio I can't make the wedding & I promised her,” Gabrielle tweeted.

The star also posed for pictures with Gabrielle and her guests. Naturally, this made the bridal shower even more special.

"I will never forget she did this for me," Gabrielle said. "She is truly an incredible, special person."

Swift also made a surprise appearance on the recent episode of Saturday Night Live. As MTV reported, Swift, along with actor James Franco and actress Zooey Deschanel, appeared during the opening monologue, which was given by host Seth Rogan. The Knocked Up star, who was hosting SNL for the third time, was reading a journal he kept detailing his activities prior to the show. Franco and Deschenel appeared offering to help Rogan out. When the actor refused, Swift appeared saying:

"Whenever a man shows emotion I appear.”

Swift herself previously hosted SNL in 2009, where she made a memorable impression with her “Monologue” song.
