Multi-platinum recording artist and seven time Grammy winner, Taylor Swift, announced Monday that she has teamed up with internet giant, Yahoo, for an exclusive worldwide livestream, scheduled for next Monday, August 18th.

Last week, Swift dropped clues on her on her various social media accounts about this special event, and sent her fans into a frenzy.

During the live web chat, Swift is expected to drop details about her upcoming fifth studio album and will likely debut the first single from her new record.

This is nothing out of the ordinary for Swift who has typically used her social media savvy to announce upcoming releases. Her last two efforts, 2010's Speak Now and 2012's Red, were both announced in similar fashion.

The chat will be broadcast on Aug. 18th at 5 p.m. ET from New York City, in front of a live audience of Swift's biggest fans. The sit-down with the songstress will be streamed in countries all around the world, showing Swift's significant international reach.

Swift has been characteristically tight lipped about her new music but has expressed that she always wants to be evolving sonically. She has assembled an all-star team of collaborators for her new material which includes One Republic frontman Ryan Tedder, songwriter extraordinaire Diane Warren, and pop-hit makers Max Martin and Johan Shellback who previously produced three tracks on 2012's blockbuster, Red.

Known for her masterful songwriting skills, Ryan Tedder had this to say about working with Ms. Swift:

"I did a little stuff with Taylor, who’s probably the fastest songwriter I ever met in my life. I can go on record saying that Taylor is genuinely the quickest songwriter I’ve ever – for anyone who doubts it she writes her own stuff. Any idea and you’re like “Yeah I don’t know if I like that lyric” and she’ll have three options, replaced within 10 seconds, she’s like bam bam bam. She’s bit of a prodigy, bit of a songwriting prodigy."

It's going to be a busy week for Swift who is also in the midst of promoting her small, but crucial, role in the upcoming movie, "The Giver," which marks her first return to the big screen since she appeared in 2010's "Valentine's Day." Look for her to make appearances on "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon" and "Late Night" with Seth Meyers on Aug. 13 & 14, respectively. "The Giver" is in theaters everywhere on Aug. 15.
