From the moment Taylor Swift and Harry Styles went public with their dating relationship there were fans taking bets as to how long the relationship would actually last. It is not that fans don't want to see the stars happy, they were just going by Swift's track record. The whirlwind relationship was announced in November and Jan. 7, 2013 Daily Mail reported confirmation that the couple has split up after a fight. With the knowledge that Swift writes a lot of her songs based off of past relationships the questions are already flying about how many new songs she would pen to this short lived relationship.
Despite the warning from friends who "told him to be careful and that it was never going to last, and he feels a little foolish now that it's fallen apart so quickly," according to a source at Life and Style. "Harry's really upset about the split and is really sensitive about it."
Perhaps the time has come for another singer to pick up a pen and write a song from his side of the story? Only time will tell how this will all turn out but for now, the relationship has ended and the two have gone their separate ways. Both were busy before, there is no doubt this press will have them busy once again.
A relationship is difficult under the best of circumstances, afterall, for most people 99% of all intimate relationships end in break ups. But when you add on extra social pressures (like the pressure of fame) the small things become compounded and harder to deal with. The best we can do is sympathize with the young couple and wish them the best of luck in the future.
