Taylor Swift performed last night at “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest” in New York City as she sang two of her biggest hits. Many wondered if One Direction’s Harry Styles would make it to the Big Apple to be able to ring in the New Year with his girl. Just Jared posted on Jan. 1, 2013, that the young couple did indeed get to count down to midnight together in Time’s Square. They were also seen locking lips just as the ball dropped.
Swift looked quite happy to have her 18-year-old boyfriend by her side after spending Christmas apart so they could be with their own families. They didn’t seem to be too shy about the true status of their relationship as a fan captured the intimate moment in photos. The high profile couple was seen in each other's arms sharing a sweet and romantic embrace.
That kiss has brought on some mixed emotions from fans of both Taylor Swift and Harry Styles. Some love the two together while others are definitely not Haylor fans and have made no bones on how they feel about this pairing. However the world feels about it, the 23-year-old singer seems like she is beaming from happiness lately. She tweeted last night before her performance, "So excited to be in New York playing on @OfficialNYRE! It all starts at 8pm ET on ABC. Can't. even. verbalize. how stoked I am for 2013!" It sounds like she is gearing up for yet another successful year and it makes it even sweeter with her One Direction guy by her side.
