Taylor Swift and Harry Styles are said to be splitsville, even with no official confirmation from either’s camp today. The facts are the two were happy as clams in the British Virgin Islands after their very public PDA in Times Square on New Year’s. But there was a sudden departure on Taylor Swift’s part, and a cryptic tweet of a song lyric that’s now being considered signals that she and Harry Style’s flame may have burned too hot too fast. Some say the only way we may know for sure the two have parted, short of a statement, will be if Taylor signals she’s writing songs for a new album. The singer is famous for her breakup songs, in case you’ve been living under a rock. ET is holding back today, still calling the breakup stories rumors.
There has been no official confirmation that Taylor Swift and Harry Styles have ended their affair after only 65 days, but most media outlets are reporting that it’s true. The couple arrived on the Virgin Gorda island on Jan. 1.
An alleged blowout fight broke out between the two while on a boat, and 23 year-old Taylor abruptly left on Jan. 4. Harry, 18, stayed behind and flew to Richard Branson’s private Necker Island. Could this have been to escape any press that he feared may get wind of their split?
Styles eventually returned to Virgin Gorda, then flew back to New York and on to his home in the UK. The day after the supposed split, Taylor tweeted out, “til you put me down”, according to E! News. It's a song lyric from her hit single “I Knew You Were Trouble”.

Life & Style however, claimed yesterday that a source did confirm this latest breakup to them. “They are both really busy and never in one place for long”, the source said. They added that Harry Styles of “One Direction” fame is really sensitive about the split right now.
Apparently his bandmates warned him about Taylor’s dating record, and now he feels kind of foolish since it ended already. It can’t be easy in light of all the media attention that’s been focused on them either.
The source reports that the split was due to the couple’s individual busy schedules, which does seem to sound a lot like the type of diplomatic statement that would come from professional representation.
The real reason for the split, if it’s true, might be something else altogether. As we all know, often a fight or breakup isn’t about one particular event, but rather in hindsight it’s because we subconsciously realize it just isn’t right.
But in the end, the globe-trotting these two do separately in support of their careers would seem quite daunting for maintaining a serious, long-term relationship together.
In any case, we’ll likely have to look for a new song from Taylor Swift and read between the lines of the lyrics if we’re ever to know what really happened.
