Taylor Swfit debuted a brand new song about Kanye West at Sunday's 2010 MTV Video Music Awards. Her VMA performance went off with out a hitch. Swift looked and sounded great. However, before performing the song she was a "nervous wreck."
According to reports Taylor Swift was afraid Kanye West might pull another stunt her during VMA performance. Although Taylor knew the risk she was taking by singing the song, which she wrote about Kanye, she sang beautifully and barefoot on the dark stage.
"Taylor was a nervous wreck before she hit the stage last night," a source told PopEater. "She knew Kanye was in the building and was terrified and praying that he wouldn't pull another stunt. Taylor rejected Kanye's offer to sing a song he wrote about the entire stage-storming innocent and had no idea how he would react to the song she wrote and performed about him."
With lyrics such as "Thirty-two and still growing up now ... who you are is not what you say," aimed directly at Kanye, Taylor's performance left a feeling of mixed emotions with fans.
Twitter blew up after Swift's song with some local residents tweeting their love for the country music super star. Others felt like Taylor and Kanye should have left the incident in the past and moved on from it.
However, Taylor Swift did get a bit of revenge on Kanye West. A source revealed that Kanye was worried about what Taylor would sing in her lyrics that he only agreed to perform on the show if he did so after Swift. Kanye later closed the show with his new song, which bascially called himself a "scumbag" as well as a few other choice words.
