Musical sensation, Taylor Swift, won the very last award of the evening at the 46th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards for Entertainer of the Year.
What do we love about Taylor Swift? Well, a lot, but one of the things that stands out about this young music star is her poise, kind demeanor and humbleness.
Swift's speech was nothing short of all of those traits.
"This is the first time I've ever won this. I'm just losing my mind. The fact that this is from the fans makes it so beautiful. Thank you so much to the fans and anybody who voted. We just got back from Asia and Europe on tour and thank you for this wonderful welcome home gift. And thanks for not forgetting about me. The fact that this is from the fans -You are the best thing that has happened to me - ever. Thank you so much!"
After sharing how the night had been amazing for American music by sharing, "You know, people are saying this has been a great night for country music. I disagree with them. This has been a great night for American music. What a show tonight," Ryan Seacrest waited for the audience applause to subside and he continued, "Now, you've seen performances from all six of our fantastic Entertainer of the Year nominees. And you've been voting for the winner all night long. In fact, they tell me tonight's total is the most votes ever cast in this category."
Seacrest then was proud to say, "Once again, here are the nominees..."
The announced Entertainer of the Year nominees were:
Jason Aldean
Toby Keith
Miranda Lambert
Brad Paisely
Taylor Swift
Keith Urban
Seacrest was pleased to announce, "And the Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year is Taylor Swift."
Taylor covered her face when her name was announced. When she finally got up, she gave out hugs and made her way to the stage (after asking where to go), gave Ryan Seacreast a hug and accepted her award.
Congratulations Taylor Swift! The amazing star has a long and successful future ahead of her!
