The country star released her latest album, has done a bunch of promotional work and now has a tour coming up which is sold out in a number of cities. On Friday, Taylor Swift hit another milestone with her album Red as she found out that the album has gone platinum in the United Kingdom.
“So I'm just minding my own business, making a sandwich before rehearsals, and I get a call that Red is platinum in the UK. I LOVE you guys,” tweeted Taylor Swift from her official Twitter account. The entertainer was obviously very excited about the news.
While Red continues to sell strong, the entertainer will get another boost for the album in the weeks ahead. One of the scheduled performers of the Grammys, the artists who perform for the show always do well in record sales in the weeks after the show.
