Nashville’s own, Taylor Swift, won yet another award-Billboard’s 2011 Woman of the Year. Recently, the 21 year old, celebrated her 5th year recording music and she thinks its ‘pretty cool’ to win this award; considering she is the youngest artist to win the prestigious award.
It’s been a good year for Swift. In recent years, despite distracters (and Kenya West), she has won almost every award in the country, including:
· Billboard Music Awards-top country album, top Billboard 200 artist and top country artist
· American Music Awards-artist of the year, favorite female country artist, and her Speak Now album won Favorite Country Album
· CMA-album/video/artist/female vocalist/entertainer of the year
· Teen Choice Awards-female artist, album-female artist
· VMA-best female video
· Nashville Music Awards-country music album of the year, artist of the year, songwriter/artist of the year
· And many, many more!
She has also been nominated for Grammy’s this year-Speak Now, has been nominated for Best Country Album and Mean has been nominated for Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance.
Her newest video ‘Ours’ will debut tonight (Dec 2, 2011) on E! Online. And her Speak Now worldwide tour will be heading to Australia in March 2012.
