Taylor Mays goes after Terrelle "The Pterodactyl" Pryor

Taylor Mays took a shot to his knee after a teammate fell into him while corralling Ohio State's Terrell “The Pterodactyl” Pryor during Saturday night's game. While Mays had to take a few plays off following the incident, he ultimately returned to the field and helped the Trojans defense stop the Buckeyes when they needed it most.
After the game, medical tests done on USC's star safety concluded that Mays had indeed suffered a knee sprain on his right knee. The sprain on Mays' right knee is thought to be mild and it is more than likely that Taylor will be ready to go for the game against the Huskies this coming Saturday.
Mays has pretty much picked up where he left off coming into the 2009 season, leading the Trojans in tackles with fourteen. Even after sustaining the injury during the Ohio State game, Mays was still able to come back and chase Terrelle Pryor around the field, so there's a good possibility the knee sprain will have limited to no effect on his performance on the field.
Mays is not the only Trojan who is banged up going into the game against Washington. Freshman phenom Matt Barkley, USC's starting quarterback, sustained a bruised right shoulder when he was slammed by Ohio State defenders on an incomplete pass.
Barkley is listed as day-to-day and will be monitored up until game time on Saturday. If Barkley can not go, the Trojans will lean on Aaron Corp, who lost the starting quarterback gig after breaking his fibula in Fall practice.
Marc Tyler, who broke off an impressive run in the game against San Jose State, will not be suiting up when the Trojans play the Huskies. Tyler, who missed the Ohio State game as well, suffered a bruised toe in practice a week or so ago and has been nursing the injury ever since.
