Taylor Lautner is boxing, doing fight training for action flick Abduction

Twilight: Eclipse star Taylor Lautner is back training at the gym again, this time for his new action flick Abduction.

While Lautner, 18, hasn't confirmed whether he'll have a shirtless scene in the thriller, somehow we have a feeling the director will work it into the script.

'LOTS OF TRAINING'

"I've been training," Taylor tells MTV. "I did boxing training for a couple months. Now I'm into the fight training, motorcycle. I think when I get to Pittsburgh, I'll do a little swimming training. It's all-around. It's going to be a lot of fun."

In Abduction, Lautner plays a teen who sets out to uncover the truth about his life after discovering his baby photo on a missing persons website.

In the Jason-Bourne-like thriller, Taylor gets caught up in an underground world of spies and murderous plots when he reaches out to his birth parents. Sigourney Weaver, Jason Isaacs and Maria Bello co-star in the John Singleton film.

TAYLOR WANTS TO BE AN ACTION HERO

Fortunately, all the action and stuntwork is right up Lautner's alley. Taylor, a junior world karate champ at age 12, recently said he would love to be action hero like fictional superspy Jason Bourne (played by Matt Damon).

"I love action, but most important is the story," he says. "And the story behind this action thriller ['Abduction'] is amazing. We got [director] John Singleton behind us. I'm so thankful we're getting a cast like that." 

Meanwhile, Lautner is busy promoting Eclipse, the third installment in the Twilight saga. He'll soon begin shooting Breaking Dawn, which will be broken up into two separate movies.

Eclipse, which co-stars Robert Pattinson, Ashley Greene, Taylor Lautner, and Kristen Stewart, comes out June 30. [see photo slideshow and new trailers below]
