Taylor Lautner doesn't just look good; he's actually super-athletic, with stunning martial-arts and gymnastic skills.
In the thriller Abduction, Lautner, 18, does lots of running, jumping and fighting--using the skills he learned years ago as a junior world karate champ.
'HE'S A PHENOM'
"He's a martial arts prodigy," co-star Jason Isaacs told Metro July 25, 2010. "Even at 11 he looked like Bruce Lee. He's a phenomenon; he's like a gold-medal gymnast."
Isaacs, 47, who plays villain Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter saga, was initially apprehensive about doing fight scenes against an expert like Lautner.
“He’s been doing karate since he was six!" says Jason. "I’ve done 10 kickboxing lessons. Hollywood decided he is the latest action hero apparently, and I'm there in this film to make him look even more muscular. And I'll do that.”
This isn't the first time a castmate was amazed by Lautner's super-athleticism. In June, Eclipse co-star Elizabeth Reaser ("Esme Cullen") raved that Taylor was the fittest person she had ever seen.
Taylor, who famously gained 30 pounds of rippling muscle for Twilight: New Moon and Eclipse, reveals he did fight training and boxing for the intense action scenes in Abduction.
"I've been training," Taylor said. "I did boxing training for a couple months. Now I'm into the fight training, motorcycle. 'll do a little swimming training. It's all-around. It's going to be a lot of fun." .jpg)
'I WANT TO BE JASON BOURNE'
Fortunately, all the action and stuntwork is right up Lautner's alley. Taylor, a junior-world karate champ at age 12, says he would love to be action hero like fictional superspy Jason Bourne (played by Matt Damon).
"I love action, but most important is the story," he says. "And the story behind this action thriller ['Abduction'] is amazing. We got [director] John Singleton behind us. I'm so thankful we're getting a cast like that."
Later this year, Taylor will begin shooting Breaking Dawn, the fourth installment in the Twilight saga. Breaking Dawn will be broken up into two separate films, with Part 1 due out in November 2011.
For now, Lautner is busy shooting Abduction in Pittsburgh, Pa., where he's causing quite a stir with local fans.
"There are hundreds of teenage girls camping out to meet him that have to be held back by barriers," says co-star Isaacs.

And let's point out that while the guy is all praise for his physicality, he has nothing to say about his acting skills. Because they are lacking! More proof here that it's his body that keeps him working for now. Soon his muscles will stop being an excuse for his lack of talent.

@mya, his acting skills are perfectly fine thank you very much, plus he has plenty of time to develop his skills further, he is an extremely talented guy and it doesn't matter what negative people like you say.
@mya I might also point out that he got a lot of praise from multiple sources about his performance in both New Moon and Eclipse, stating that he is by far the most impressive out of the main stars.
Agree with Lilac. His acting has improved. Besides, it's easier to develop acting skills over time than to get the martial arts skills and discipline Taylor obviously has had since childhood.
@Lilac, you can also find just as many reviews saying he is the worst of the three, over acting, 100 high school Hamlets and should invest as much into an acting coach as he did a personal trainer so don't try that. Here is an exceptional actor, Jason Issacs, and his only praise for wittle taytay is his physicality, which is all he has going for him.
mya u just put a damper on a perfectly good post taylor is incredible people would kill to be where taylor is i think yes he can improve on his acting but he is a 5 time world champion and that would help his career of action movies - who else in hollywood can boast about being that!!! everyone can act but not everyone can be an action star and his determination is amazing keep it up taylor

I agree he is an awsome actor. He is way better than some of the older actors, but I still think some of them still got it. Plus he is insanely hilarious, beside the fact that he is gorgous and that is a main quality too. OH btw (by the way) he seems really sweet> ahhhhhh!
