Taye Diggs attended the SAG Awards last night but was not expecting to come home to what he found. Diggs was in his home when a man broke into his home shortly after 11 p.m. according to TMZ on Jan. 28.
At some point the police were called but Taye did not just sit around and wait for them to appear. He took matters into his own hands. Taye confronted the man who took off running. Taye then chased the man and eventually caught up to him. Taye held the man until the police arrived.
According to law enforcement, there was a getaway driver but Taye was not able to get him. Maybe his friend who got caught will give up his identity.
Taye Diggs has played a hero in the movies but last night he truly was a hero. There are not too many people who would chase down the person trying to break into their home. Let’s hope justice is served and the man is punished for what he did. There is one thing for sure, think twice before breaking into Taye Diggs home.
