A tax refund shooting occurred Friday afternoon after a woman got hostile with a worker. The dispute turned violent when she got into an altercation with a security guard. The security guard and three other tax preparers were wounded in the shooting.
The incident took place in east Detroit at City Tax Service around 3:30 p.m. Friday. The woman at the counter was upset that her tax refund was not ready yet, ABC News reported March 1. She got into a "scuffle" with a security and that was when the man she was with produced a gun and began firing the it. He shot four people in all -- including the security guard.
Police arrested the man and the woman reportedly turned herself in to authorities for her actions.
Tax season is a stressful time for people and it definitely got the best of the woman in this case. A tax refund is something to be happy about and it is hard to believe waiting a little bit longer would result in someone losing it like that...let alone pull a gun. It is a blessing, however, that no one was killed in the tax refund shooting.
