Tax dramedy 'Starting From Scratch' red carpet premiere event in NoHo April 10

The micro-budgeted indie dramedy "Starting From Scratch" will hold its official red carpet premiere Thursday, April 10 at Laemmle NoHo 7 in Los Angeles.

"Starting From Scratch" tells the tale of a young couple on the brink of divorce when they are audited by the IRS.

As they cope with their roller-coaster of emotions, they must sort through the last year of receipts.

Through the audit process, the couple begins understand what went wrong.

The film stars James Huang, Elizabeth Sandy, Charles Kim, Billy Beck, Maddy Curley, Sadie Alexandru, Nicole Ghastin, Mallery Grady, Shelly Bhalla, and Aaron Takahashi. With Sara Mornell and Tom Wright.

Wrtten and directed by Huang, it took "Best Comedy" honors at the Asians on Film Festival and was named "Best Film" at the DisOrient Film Festival.
