This year's local Tax Day Tea Party - officially named "Defend Liber-TEA" - has now been scheduled for Saturday, April 13, 2013 from 12:00pm until 3:00pm at the downtown plaza in front of the courthouse here in Greensboro as usual.
As last year, it is scheduled for a day other than April 15 itself - this time due to that day being on a Monday. This will allow much easier parking for those coming.
Publicity for this year's rally locally was so minimal this week that at least one area Tea Party organizer contacted this week was unaware of it being scheduled.
Tax Day Tea Party rallies here have each drawn hundreds for years - and, last year, a speaking appearance by presidential candidate Newt Gingrich.
