Searching the web for freebies is a past-time for many who are looking to save a buck. However, this is a great time to put social media into play for those who are suffering, not just because they had to write a big check to the IRS on Tax Day, but because they don't have a job or lost their home to foreclosure.

Subway: There's an unconfirmed rumor that Subway is giving away free cookies on Tax Day. Nothing noted on their site or Facebook Fan Page. Can't hurt to ask.
IHOP: Kids eat free at IHOP Thursday and through the end of the month from 4 to 10 p.m. with the purchase of one adult meal.
PF Changs: It's not free, but you will 15% off your food tab at PF Changs. No forms to fill out, no coupons to bring. Just a straight 15% off your bill. Nice way to reward yourself after filing your taxes and finding some freebies for those in need.
Dunkin' Donuts: Free donut if you purchase a cup of coffee on Tax Day. Give the cup of coffee and donut to someone who needs it ... think homeless...it's a feel-good thing.
McDonald's: Buy one Big Mac, get another for a penny. They couldn't spare the penny and give it away for free? Who eats one Big Mac, never mind two....well, someone might. So go get one and give it away.
