I recently visited a tattoo parlor on Capital Hill called Liquidity Jones an associate of mine had the shop prior to the new owners however they went on to establish another partnership in the DC area. The new owners now call it 'The Electric Zoo Studio with the catch phrase of 'your new addiction'  Well during the visit I sat down and exchanged ideas about the phenom going on as far as people tattooing and scarification(piercing) techniques. The owner Jeremy Spicer said 'that there were many new and creative ways that people share their ideas and thought through this genre'. Many people aren't that enthused about the potential pain and or discomfort that goes along with tattooing. the many younger clients ,customers and older people that browse, come in and then take the time to explore this world of drawing, etching then coloring in your picture takes a measurable amount of time. I witnessed the comings and goings of quite a few individuals as they sauntered into the studio asking questions about pricing, giving the artists on site their own renditions of pictures, drawings etc.. it made me think of an art studio where creative minds indeed do meet. During my visit I did see the attendants take extreme care with sanitary precautions and the young adults that needed their parental consents were turned away as the owner is a stickler as far as working his craft from within the laws of consent. That alone made me applaud the artist's studio because I saw someone who caters to the public but not at the expense of causing a public outcry, this seems to be the greater good! i was impressed as to the depth and gravity of the art and it's connotations as far as expressive art forms and the many images that are covered. There were a lot of remember this and that photos about lost loved ones ,mothers, grandmothers and other family members lost in time. then there were the rock jocks that have a simplified methodology of show-casing just tattooing their body part to give their own unique expressions of self. I even have 1 tattoo of my beautiful rose that I shared with the team here and they did such a wonderful job with it that I had to give them their kudos. I will say that tats aren't for everyone if you are faint of heart and can't stand the pain or the trickle of a little blood then by all means don't do it but if you share a special comraderie with the styles set forth than I would indeed suggest this tattoo art studio it has the amenities that can be trusted and your opinions are definitely respected! They have a great range of subject matter and styles that are from the extreme to the mediocre so just pull up a chair and explore the studio is at 1503 Pennsylvania Ave. SE Wash. DC 20003 and is close to Potomac Gardens Metro stop and phone contact # is 317-489-8249 and email is Myspace.com/ninjatatts  Have fun and explore!
