Tattered Cover, Whole Heart

See also

As an avid writer, it was certainly fitting that one of my very first stops upon my arrival in Denver was the infamous Tattered Cover Book Store. It’s home to an eclectic mix, spans centuries in it’s works and captures the heart with it’s quaint presence. It’s one of those places everyone should visit; just to be, if not to buy.

Tattered Cover is home to a whole lot of books, coffee and inspiration. It’s a locally owned and operated business that first opened in Cherry Creek in 1971. Back then it was just 950 square feet. Today the biggest store in Downtown Denver boasts over 20,000 square feet of retail space, yet it is still full of character, welcoming guests in a way that invites you to stay awhile, as though it were your own living room.

What’s more is Tattered Cover is the host to an average of 400 annual events. Take a look at their Event Calendar to keep track of upcoming Author signings, lectures and discussions.

If (or when!) you visit and become a serious fan like me, you can even invest in some Tattered Cover Gear or join one of the Book Clubs.

Whichever genre, style and coffee you prefer and whatever type of reader you are, Tattered Cover will have something to keep you fascinated.
