This Tuesday's pick for Tasty Tuesday is the 2001 German film, "Mostly Martha." "Mostly Martha," was directed by Sandra Nettelback and starred Martina Gedeck, Sergio Castellitto, and Maxime Foerste. The movie is about a workaholic chef who takes in her niece after the death of her sister, and with a new sous chef, both her job and personal life make some drastic changes.

"No Reservations," with Catherine Zeta-Jones was a remake of "Mostly Martha." If you've seen that movie, you should watch the original, it's a great movie. It currently holds a 7.4 on IMDb and with 84 reviews has a 92% on Rotten Tomatoes. The film won the Grand Prix Award at the Creteil International Women's Film Festival, won two awards in 2002 at the Lecce Festival of European Cinema, and also had won awards at the Mons International Festival of Love Films, Nantucket Film Festival, and Muscat Film Festival.

It really is a funny, touching movie that shows us there is more than life than work, and we all need to lighten up a little! It's a good foodie flick.
