Tasteless hoax claims that actor Paul Walker is still alive

A scandalous and insensitive report that claimed the late "Fast & Furious" film star Paul Walker and his friend Roger Rodas are both still alive and that their deaths in a fiery Calif. car crash last month were faked, had fans confused and then outraged when the rumor ran rampant on Twitter on Dec. 27.

Yesterday, the website published a report stating that Walker’s death was faked by his family with help from Walker’s production crew.

It is now absolutely confirmed that for reasons yet to be fully determined Paul Walker, along with Roger Rodas, faked his death. It was a fake supported by Mr. Walker’s family, although lately, notes Paul Walker, Sr., he and his son don’t always see eye-to-eye. This hoax was achieved with collaboration of the entire crew and production team of the Fast & Furious cabal in collaboration with Universal Studios.

Sadly, Paul Walker, 40, and Roger Rodas, 38, did indeed perish on Nov. 30 in Santa Clarita when Rodas, who was driving a 2005 Porsche Carrera GT with Walker as a passenger, lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a light pole, sparking a deadly inferno.

The hoax perpetrated by though, had fans on Twitter searching for a reality check.

A few tweets shared by The Christian Post, include:

@MarissaGodbey: "So apparently there's a possibility that Paul Walker faked his death.. regardless of reasoning, I'd just be happy he's still alive."

@caitlyngreen18: "Now the media is saying tht paul walker faked his death!!! I don't know what to believe anymore! "

Autopsy reports had previously confirmed the identities of Paul Walker as the passenger and Roger Rodas as the driver in the car that crashed and burned.

Immediately following the fatal crash, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office confirmed that speed was a factor in the crash.

Up and down the road near the crash site were burned rubber and doughnut marks as though someone smoked their tires in figure 8 patterns.

"I don't know if the marks in the road are related to the crash," said Los Angeles County sheriff's Sgt. Brian Allen.

Walker, a child actor with an extensive acting portfolio but perhaps best known for the “Fast & Furious” film series, was still finishing up work on the series’ latest sequel when he died.

Although reports came out recently saying that Walker’s look-alike brother was being used to help finish some scenes, Universal Pictures announced last week that it was shutting down production of the film, albeit only temporarily.

“Fast and Furious 7” was originally scheduled for release in July, 2014. The film’s release date has been pushed back until April 2015 in light of Paul Walker’s death, according to Yahoo! News.

Scenes that Walker filmed before his untimely death will appear in the movie.
