Tastefully Simple: review and cake lollipop recipe (Photos)

Before being contacted by Tastefully Simple, I had never heard of the brand. I checked them out online and read that they “…offer a wide selection of convenient and easy-to-prepare foods designed to help people spend less time in the kitchen and more time enjoying the rest of their lives.” Being a fan of quick and easy recipes for the everyday on-the-go woman, I loved this idea. Tastefully Simple offered to send me some of their products to try out for myself, and I couldn’t wait to try them out.

Tastefully Simple sent me their Roasted Onion Warm Dip Mix, Absolutely Almond Pound Cake Mix, Italian Garlic Bread Seasoning, and their Pomegranate Chipotle Sauce.

I had a house warming to attend to one evening and knew the Cutie Cake Lollipops were the perfect recipe to try out for the host’s children. At first glance, these little treats look complicated to make, but trust me they are easier than they look!

I followed the instructions on Tastefully Simple recipe page step by step. I noticed I forgot the lollipop sticks though and had no time to run back to the store, so I improvised by making the cake balls bigger and used toothpicks. You can check out the pictures above. The Cutie Cake Lollipops were a huge hit not just with the kids, but adults helped themselves to one or two as well!

The Almond Pound Cake Mix can make 60 of these lollipops, but mine were significantly larger and I was able to make about 40. Check out the recipe at Tastefully Simple’s page! Also, take a look at all the other delicious products Tastefully Simple has to offer – the brand’s name says it all!
