The members of Duran Duran are taking a last taste of summer as the season winds down. Keyboardist Nick Rhodes attended the British GQ Men of the Year Awards on Sept. 3, while singer Simon Le Bon is participating in a regatta.
Le Bon is on board the S/Y Hamilton, which was ranked fifth in the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup Regatta after the first day, according to Duran Duran on Facebook.
As August drew to a close, bassist John Taylor posted photos of his trip to Big Sur, Calif., on Instagram.
Guitarist Dom Brown recently tweeted that he's back from holiday and planning a "very intimate" free Blue to Brown show Sept. 6 at his local pub, The Armoury in London. "Looking forward to returning to my studio next week," Brown wrote.
Now that the band members' summer break is ending, Duran plans to spend most of the rest of the year in the studio, aiming to release a 14th studio album as soon as late spring.
On a side note, Rhodes' and former Duran guitarist Warren Cuccurullo's TV Mania is now taking applications for those wishing to become a TV Mania "franchise." For more information, see YouTube.
