If you can't find your way up into the arctic circle, perhaps you can find your way to New York City from October 3rd-6th to enjoy "A Taste of Iceland" and "Reykjavik Calling". This three-day combined food and music festival will feature some of Iceland's most renowned chefs including Gunnar Karl Gislason from Reykjavik's famous Dill restaurant, as well as Manhattan restaurant ACME's chef Mads Refslund who will team together to bring some of the best nordic dishes to your plate.
On the 5th, three of the most popular emerging Icelandic musicians are partnering with some of New York's up and coming musical groups at "Reykjavik Calling" to put on a show unlike any other. The concert is free if you have a ticket to the food festival, and is only 18+.
The food festival takes place at ACME Restaurant (9 Great Jones St.) and the music festival will take place at Le Poisson Rouge (158 Bleecker St.) Tickets are available online here.
