Sumptuous food to please your palates, over 100 live entertainment performances, fine arts & crafts and fresh fruits and vegetables grown by local area farmers are just some of the sights, sounds and experiences that await Clevelanders at the 9th annual Taste of Hudson Festival on Sunday, September 1 and Monday, September 2 in nearby Hudson, Ohio. And it's only a 40 minute drive from Cleveland.
Taste of Hudson Historic downtown Hudson is playing host to the 2-day family-friendly culinary, entertainment and lifestyle festival with plenty of activities for all age groups to enjoy.
Delectable food will be everywhere at Taste of Hudson as more than 20 area restaurants and chefs will be preparing and showcasing items from their in-restaurant menus for visitors to enjoy. Adults at Taste of Hudson can visit the North End Wine and Beer Garden where they can choose from a selection of 25 crafted beers and wines from around the world to partake of by the glass. Tastings are $2.
Don't forget to sign up for the Stella Artois Perfect Pour Competition taking place on Monday from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. The entry fee is $6 and participants will be able to keep their Stella Artois glass and the beer they filled it with.
Taste of Hudson has become one of the largest free music festivals in Ohio featuring over 80 live musical entertainment performances on 6 stages including concerts by the Evil Ways Band (a Santana Tribute Band) and Wanted (a Bon Jovi Tribute Band).
Other activities include a Fine Arts Fair showcasing 15 area artisans and crafters, the Diamond Auto Sales & Lease Luxury Auto Show and the Hudson Farmer's Market featuring homegrown produce.
There will be lots of children's activities at the Kids Kraft Zone (sponsored by Jo-Ann Fabric & Craft stores and Little Tikes) with its craft projects, Little Tikes Land (an interactive play are featuring Little Tikes structures and toys), inflatables, face painting and appearances by Jungle Terry and Ronald McDonald.
Akron Children's Hospital will have a booth providing health screenings and information about child safety. And be sure to check out ZumbaFest taking place on the Gazebo Green on Monday at 10 a.m.
Hours for Taste of Hudson are noon - 8 p.m. on Sunday and 11 a.m., - 6 p.m. on Monday (Labor Day). Admission is free.
