Following Restaurant Week, is the annual Taste of Downtown on Thursday the 26 from 5-9pm. Fifty restaurants in East Village, Financial District, and the Gaslamp Quarter are participating in the event. On this self-guided walking tour, guests will enjoy samples from each restaurant, at their own pace, throughout the evening.
Don’t like to walk? A complimentary shuttle bus will take you to each neighborhood, making nosh stops along the way. If you miss Restaurant Week, this is another way to eat on the cheap. Buy your tickets now for only $30.
Expect to get a taste of popular appetizers, coffee or non-alcoholic beverages, and desserts. Some chefs will even choose to create non-menu specials that are only offered to event guests. Make sure to take notes and star your favorites spots!

Parking: Street parking can be stressful. But if you find a spot, you’ll only need to feed the meters until 6pm. There are also plenty of garages, such as Park it on Market. You’ll pay a fee, but it’s less hassle.
Public Transportation: Take the San Diego Trolley Orange Line to either stop from Civic Center to Park & Market. On the Green Line, get off at Convention Center or Gaslamp Quarter. Or check the bus schedule here.
