This year marks the 12th year that Charlotte has held The Taste of Charlotte Festival. Starting today, Friday, June 11, 2010, and going through Sunday, June 13, 2010 patrons can experience cuisine from area restaurants all for much less than an ordinary meal. For the cost of a few event tokens (website link) this is an opportunity for vendors to showcase their best culinary work, and for the public to visit their favorite restaurants while sampling some new ones.
Along with all the food vendors aligning Tryon Street in Uptown, there’s also lots music to dance to, activities for the kids, a beer tavern, and of course the marketplace to buy clothing, jewelry and so much more.
Taste of Charlotte will open at 11 a.m. each day and conclude at 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Sunday wraps up at 6 p.m. Admission is free, though guest must have tokens to purchase food and beverages. The Taste of Charlotte is located on Tryon Street and spans five city blocks from Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd to 6th Street. To download a printable vendor map click here.
